Description of the assignment Freyssinet Australia is offering a unique opportunity for an exceptionally skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our Remedial Engineering business unit. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting vital projects across Perth & WA.
As the Project Manager your accountability will lie in efficiently managing critical infrastructure projects amongst an atmosphere of camaraderie among engineers, facilitating mutual support and mentoring, prioritizing safety, delivering high-quality results within specified timelines, and maintaining client satisfaction and profitability.
Profile We are looking for an ideal candidate who meets the following criteria:
Strong project preparation and planning skills, particularly on complex and critical projects. Ability to thrive under pressure and make sound decisions. Proficiency in subcontractor and supplier management, as well as self-performance works management. Solution-focused mindset with experience in addressing on-site challenges and achieving positive outcomes promptly. Willingness, readiness, and flexibility to travel extensively across the country. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Developing, managing, and reviewing project strategies, critical milestones, and comprehensive project plans encompassing all aspects of project delivery and performance. Identifying, assessing, and managing project risks through the use of processes, systems, and expertise. Establishing a safety culture and ensuring consistent application of best safety practices. Providing support for pre-contract business development initiatives and priorities when necessary. Proactively managing client and stakeholder relationships, anticipating their needs, and identifying opportunities to offer additional services, products, and value. Ensuring financial performance of the project through cost control and labour efficiency. Proactively managing contract, claim, and commercial aspects of the project(s), including the handling of commercial risks according to delegated authority. Delegating responsibilities and managing the performance of teams and subcontractors. Procuring and negotiating project resources such as labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Promoting innovation and technological development on-site to establish the organization as a comprehensive solution provider. Facilitating training and development of work crews to maximize self-performed works instead of subcontracting. Completing monthly project reporting, financial reporting, and forecasting. Qualifications / Experience Degree in Engineering or Construction Management. Minimum 5-8 years' Project Management experience in the civil/construction industry. Remedial or Concrete/Steel repair & re-strengthening project experience (advantageous). Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite programs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
