About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager on the Defence Base Services (DBS) - Leeuwin Barracks, East Fremantle contract, to provide full and complete management of multiple small, large, and complex projects including project plans, scope definition, timelines, quality definition, assurance and financial control working.

Ventia have partnered with some reputable organisations to be able to offer discounts on Health Insurance, Banking (new home loans, credit cards, everyday bank accounts), flights & accommodation, car hire, car leasing and much more What you'll be doing You will be directly accountable for maintaining exceptional client relationships, develop stakeholder lines of communication and ensuring superior project delivery to exceed the client's expectationIn this role, you will be managing and delivering projects for our clients in accordance with the agreed KPI's developed with the Project Director which as a minimum would include: Safety outcomes through a continuing safety cultureManaging and Delivering project in line with client requirementsDelivering outstanding service to our clientsWorkload and utilisation as planned in program and project deliveryOrganisational and project complianceSome Regional Travel where required for projects within your remitOther responsibilities include, but not limited to Providing commercial input, delivery expertise and constructabilityActively managing and participating in the Scoping, Design, Delivery and Close out PhasesDeveloping and Managing client level schedule of works within the key delivery phasesManaging and maintaining project cost plans including forecasting of risks and cost contingenciesCommunicating budget variances to the Lead Project Manager, Program Manager, and clientsContributing to evaluations of project performance and recommend actions for improvement of processesConducting project hand over meeting with the Client and agree final accountAbout you
To succeed in this position, you will need to have suitable qualifications in Project Management, construction, engineering, trade or similar and industry proven project delivery experience. You will also be a passionate team member and ensure projects are delivered within agreed quality, cost and schedule whilst maintaining the agreed project management standards and consistency ensuring delivery achieves all Company and Client requirements.
Ideally you will have the following competencies An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plansStrong client-facing communication and teamwork skillsFamiliarity with risk management and quality assurance controlStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Suite (Work, Excel, Outlook, etc)CPPM or PMP certification will be highly regardedAn ability to seek and be involved in new business opportunities and effectively interface with the clientA high level of motivation and commitment to improve work practices, systems, and proceduresAbout Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
