The Opportunity: Port of Newcastle is seeking an experienced Project Manager who will be responsible for development, implementation, monitoring and reviewing allocated PON's projects in a multi-disciplinary environment. The role requires a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills whilst working independently on projects with minimal supervision.
A large part of this role includes:
Development of project delivery plans, including scope, schedule, risk assessment, resourcing and costing.Critical evaluation of project cost and schedules.Lead PON's engagement with relevant regulatory bodies and other stakeholders' projects.Preparation of procurement documentation and completion of procurement strategy assessments.Management of project closure and documentation required.This position will require you to liaise with multiple stakeholders across the business, maintain strong relationships and ensure effective collaboration. This role requires a high level of communication and influencing skills.
What you will bring: The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering or a related discipline with proven experience. They will have experience with multi-disciplinary works and ability to provide the delivery of capital and maintenance projects on time and on budget. As well as proven leadership skills and experience, with the ability to drive and implement change into an organisation. This candidate will be able to work with a high degree of independence and be able to efficiently present complex information.
