Role Overview As Commercial Project Manager for Northernair, you will oversee the planning, execution and delivery of HVAC and air conditioning projects along with related construction projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget and timeline requirements.
You will collaborate with engineering, design, procurement and field teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities Project Oversight : Manage the end-to-end delivery of HVAC, air conditioning and construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Client & Stakeholder Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, subcontractors and internal teams, maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Planning & Scheduling : Develop and manage project schedules, resource plans and budgets.
Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure projects stay on track.
Contract & Procurement Management : Assist with contract negotiations, procurement of materials and coordination with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of HVAC and construction services.
Risk & Issue Management : Identify potential risks and issues early in the project and work proactively with the team to find solutions.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with engineering, design and operations teams to ensure the technical specifications of HVAC and construction projects are accurately implemented.
Quality Control : Monitor the work to ensure that all HVAC and construction activities comply with relevant safety regulations, building codes and industry standards.
Post Project Evaluation : Assist with the review of completed projects, documenting lessons learned and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Key Requirements Early Career Experience : Experience in project management, HVAC, construction or air conditioning.
Candidates with experience as a project coordinator or assistant are encouraged to apply.
Technicians looking for a change of career direction are also encouraged to apply.
Technical Knowledge : A foundational understanding of HVAC systems, air conditioning or construction processes is highly preferred but not essential.
Project Management Skills : Familiarity with project management principles and tools is a plus but we are looking for someone eager to build these skills.
Problem Solving Abilities : Strong organizational skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education : HVAC related field experience is preferred but equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
