The role will require a dynamic, flexible, and experienced candidate with expertise in all facets of project management, including coordinating procurement processes, providing advice, and building strong stakeholder relationships to deliver key project outcomes.The Project Manager will also play a critical role in contributing to new models for the delivery of services to enhance tenant experiences and satisfaction, improve the condition of public housing, deliver efficiencies, and ensure value for money.The Project Manager is responsible for the management of the sites and coordinating simple works contracts, engaging contractors to address responsive maintenance works of critical assets.
The role involves responsive maintenance of critical engineering assets, management of procurement processes, active contractor performance management, contract administration duties, budget and cash flow management, and reporting.The responsive maintenance includes:Coordination with contractors and local housing offices to provide on-call and on-site support for critical engineering assets including, but not limited to, boilers, generators, electrical switchboards, and hydraulic systems.Coordination with program consultants and contractors to perform responsive maintenance works for critical engineering assets.Coordination with the head contractor and responsive maintenance team to supervise simple works contracts.Assisting in providing advice to stakeholders and assisting in the preparation and presentation of reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet, and agency submissions on a range of matters.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDEContribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:Assisting in research, analysis, and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.Supporting the development and delivery of projects or sub-projects and their successful delivery and completion within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters.Contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.Please open the position description to read more.COVID-19 VACCINATIONThe department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances.
