THE ROLE The Project Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of site works and provide after hour call support to housing call centre and Local housing offices.
The role will require a dynamic, flexible, and experienced candidate with experience in all facets of project management including coordinating procurement processes, providing advice, and building strong stakeholder relationships to deliver key project outcomes.
The Project Manager will also play a critical role in contributing to new models for the delivery of services to enhance tenant experiences and satisfaction, that improves the condition of public housing, delivers efficiencies, and ensures value for money.
The Project Manager is responsible for the management of the sites and coordinate simple works contract, engage contractors to address responsive maintenance works of critical assets.
The role involves responsive maintenance of the critical engineering assets, management of procurement processes, active contractor performance management and contract administration duties, budget and cash flow management, and reporting.
The responsive maintenance includes:
Coordination with contractors and local housing office to provide on call and on site support for critical engineering assets including but not limited to boilers, generators, electrical switchboards and hydraulic systems.Coordinate with program consultants and contractors to perform responsive maintenance works for critical engineering assets.Coordinate with head contractor and responsive maintenance team to supervise simple works contract.Assist in providing advice to stakeholders and assist in the preparation and presentation of reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on a range of matters.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
Assisting in research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.Supporting the development and delivery of projects or sub-projects and their successful delivery and completion within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.Contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.COVID-19 VACCINATION The department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances.
