Utilise your Project Management expertise to provide support and advice to Liquor Control Victoria.A Fixed-Term, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service for 6 months.About the Business Unit: Liquor Control Victoria was established on 1 July 2022 and comprises the independent Victorian Liquor Commission and staff from the Department of Justice and Community Safety.
Liquor Control Victoria is responsible for issuing liquor licences and overseeing industry compliance and enforcement to ensure that Victorians and visitors to the state enjoy safe and responsible liquor licensed environments.
This is an exciting time to join Liquor Control Victoria and to be part of something new and growing.
We are strengthening our focus on harm minimisation and assessment of community impacts as part of our regulatory approach following major reforms to liquor licensing laws that commenced in 2022.
The Licensing and Transformation Division within Liquor Control Victoria conducts and oversees a variety of licensing activities, including assessing and determining applications for liquor licences, permits and other approvals under delegation.
It responds to enquiries from the public and industry and establishes relationships with licensees and key industry, government and community stakeholders to achieve positive regulatory outcomes.
The division also leads business transformation initiatives to strengthen the liquor regulator, including ICT transformation.
About the Role: The Project Manager will work within an established project team to lead Liquor Control Victoria through a digital transformation of its front-end systems.
Some of your duties will include:
Project managing the delivery of the Liquor Regulation digitisation project partnering with Service Victoria.Providing leadership in the management of program governance and reporting obligations including establishing sound and efficient processes and systems to deliver team objectives.Identifying and analysing emerging issues, problems or opportunities, proposing and implementing strategic solutions, and developing documents to support implementation of solutions.About You: As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
Project management expertise, including demonstrated experience in managing organisational change initiatives.A wealth of knowledge and experience in delivering IT projects using frameworks.A strong ability to develop and disseminate complex project documentation, briefs, and correspondence, and to deliver on project objectives.Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills combined with demonstrable ability to liaise and negotiate at senior management levels.Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to inform and influence a range of project partners, stakeholders, and end-users.How to Apply: Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
