Local Project Assignment based in MelbournePaid Project HoursImmediate StartCB&I are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our East Coast Projects.
Project assignments may range in scope from managing multiple small (Up to US$20MM) contracts or a single medium size (Up to US$100MM) project.
This Project Manager will begin by leading a tank terminal construction Project located in Melbourne, Victoria.
You will be a strong collaborator and will be responsible for all matters pertaining to the execution of the project assigned to you in accordance with the contract terms and all Company HSSE, Quality, Execution and Financial goals.
Your Role Responsibilities but not limited to: Primary functions include complying with Company business & legal policies, maintaining client relationships, protecting the Company from unnecessary risks, managing resources for the project, providing leadership, and serving as a focal point for client communicationProject forecasting as well as executing and managing Lessons Learned program at the project level, preparation of internal and external project reportsComplete understanding of the Contract, the "as-sold" scope of work, and contract commercial termsRobust management of change to mitigate risk and leverage commercial advantageRepresenting the Company and the project at all meetingsParticipation in the Commercial and Business Development process by providing operational input and during the pre-contract effortThe Ideal Candidate: Able to travel to project locations for client/customer meetings and site assessmentsEnthusiastically seeks and accepts tasks and projects in rotations that allow for maximum experience and growthRegularly introspect, seek feedback and adapt behaviors for ongoing personal developmentKnowledge of CB&I products and marketsProactively identifies and solves the complex problemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProven negotiating ability with high emotional intelligence and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated business partnering skills with the ability to influence the organizationA mature business and technical acumen coupled with a drive to achieve resultsExceptional communication and presentation skill, both written and verbalAbility to work and build credibility across the business, up to and including senior management levelProactively embraces and promotes the company's values and culture, including diversity & inclusion and a healthy and safe work environmentAbility to manage teams in a well organised manner while exercising highly developed written and oral communication skillsExperience and Qualifications: Professional degree (Engineering or BS Preferred)Broad technical knowledge of construction methods and equipment, engineering processes, and fabrication capabilitiesFamiliarity with estimating, supply chain, project controls, and contract commercial managementKnowledge of Commercial Contracting and Negotiation strategiesFamiliarity with the Oil and Gas, Energy and Construction Industry preferredCB&I is an equal opportunity employer and believe diversity, equity and inclusion deepens our depth of knowledge, capability and experience.
