My client is a leading design and construct fitout/refurb builder specialising in projects in the healthcare, commercial and retail sectors. They pride themselves on bringing their clients vision to life with quality, timeless and highly efficient delivery. Based in Melbourne, they are a high quality construction company delivering a diverse portfolio of fitout projects nation-wide. They are now seeking a Project Manager to manage multiple minor works projects nation wide with a value up to $500k. This Project Manager will need to multi-task and prioritize time wisely as they manage a high volume of projects from design phase, through construction to completion and post construction maintenance. An ability to manage client relationships and work at a fast pace is key to succeeding in this role. Responsibilities include: Maintaining client relationships as the first point of contact. Oversee OH&S on all projects. Ensure company policies are enacted and maintained onsite. Prepare the program and the quality, safety and management plans for your allocated projects. Ensure Estimator and Contracts Administrator obtain adequate trade coverage. Attend handover on all projects in Victoria (company vehicle can be used). Interstate travel may be required to initiate a new client relationship. Working towards KPIs for timely delivery and margin set by business. Solving problems and setbacks as they arise and communicating these to the relevant stakeholders. Requirements include: 5 years or more project management experience working for a head contractor. Tertiary Qualification in a construction related discipline or trade qualified highly regarded Experience managing multi-site retail or healthcare fitouts. Proven track record of delivering and managing 6+ projects at a time up to $500k. Experience managing projects in design through to construct phase. Ability to chair client project meetings and issuing meeting minutes. A demonstrable ambition to grow as the company grows, steady progression within your career is a bonus. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Can work autonomously and has good time management skills. Personable and exceptional presentation with a strong work ethic.
