Project Manager
Full time, fixed term, 12 month appointment Based in Hobart, Launceston, Burnie Be a part of two key transformative projects, including the transformation of our TIA research farm into a centre of excellence The Industry 4.0 Testlab Sustainable, Manageable, Accessible Rural Technology (SMART) Farm project has been co-designed with industry to be implemented at TIA’s Forthside Vegetable Research Facility and Dairy Research Facility
The Opportunity
You will be responsible to operationalise the deliverable project requirements. This will include ensuring that all contractual obligation, milestones, procurements, and project management activities are undertaken to ensure these projects are a success.
Key Accountabilities:
In consultation with the TIA Business Manager and TIA Director manage the implementation and co-ordination of the Farms Upgrade, and Testlab SMART Farms projects. Project reporting to the TIA Director, TIA Leadership Team, and stakeholders. Undertake TIA business management duties in consultation with the TIA Business Manager. Actively and collaboratively engage with stakeholders to ensure TIA strategic outcomes are met. Engage with Finance to manage the procurement of equipment in relation to agreed purchases.

Demonstrated ability to apply well-rounded strategic and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated operational leadership experience within a complex environment. Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and the ability to work in a collaborative manner to deliver successful outcomes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to devise creative and effective solutions and plans for a range of stakeholders.
Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 8 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $130,533 comprising base salary within the range of $98,122 to $111,567 plus superannuation.
