The Role: As a Projects Manager for Tasmanian Government Affordable Housing, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of affordable housing projects in Tasmania. Reporting directly to the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of project management, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Your role will involve collaborating with government agencies, subcontractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives and contribute to the community's well-being. Key Responsibilities: Manage all phases of affordable housing projects, from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with client requirements and regulatory standards. Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to procure materials, labor, and equipment necessary for project execution. Oversee site operations, conduct regular inspections, and implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Act as the primary point of contact for client communication, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing regular project updates. Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and residents, to promote collaboration and community engagement. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience managing affordable housing projects, preferably within the government sector. Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
