Based at our manufacturing hub in Geelong, we are looking to appoint a Project Manager to join our growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an infrastructure or commercial building background to become part of a company boasting a great team culture, strong work ethic, and growing portfolio of projects.
Successful candidates will possess the following: Engineering, Construction Management, or similar professional tertiary qualification. Alternatively, trade qualification with a minimum of 3 years of project management experience. Rail, infrastructure, or commercial building experience is advantageous. Leadership capability to maintain site/company discipline and make executive decisions. Ability to take ownership and responsibility for projects and activities. Knowledge of a broad range of construction methodologies and procedures, and ability to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. Proven client management, liaison, and customer service skills. Excellent communication, organisational, team management, and people skills. System-oriented person with advanced computer skills. Ability to read and create drawings, reports, engineering documents, and specifications. Administrative capability to manage Quality, Safety, and other company documentation. Administrative capability to manage cost control, pricing, and scheduling. A Day in the Life Plan and oversee construction projects from beginning to end, managing the program to achieve the client's expectations. Manage the budget and costs of projects. Plan and manage construction processes including construction personnel and activities onsite. Report on work progress to clients. Respond to work delays and other problems and emergencies. Collaborate with team members, engineers, drafts people, and construction personnel. Select and instruct labour and subcontractors. Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities. Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations. Select, order, and purchase materials as needed. Manage coordination and issues of resourcing and sourcing plant, tools, and equipment. Ensure and prioritise that OHS&E and Quality documentation are conducted as required, including updating ITPs.
