Gold Coast Infrastructure Solutions (GCIS) is a Joint Venture between Ventia and Downer that has been awarded a 10-year contract to deliver water and wastewater repairs, maintenance services, and renewals project works for the City of Gold Coast.About the roleWe have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join the team in a full-time, permanent capacity based at our Arundel depot.
Overseeing a team of Engineers and Supervisors, the Project Manager is responsible to deliver optimal project outcomes through effective project management, estimating and leadership.This is a great career opportunity that will provide stability and longevity whilst delivering meaningful work.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Manage, coordinate and deliver a number of renewals and capital works projects simultaneously, including financial management, technical reporting, and adherence to safety management systems.Manage the selection and onboarding of delivery partners, in conjunction with the Renewals Lead, commercial and safety teams.Report on project and program performance and progress, including development of solutions to issues that compromise attainment of agreed performance targets.Coordinate contributions to the tender process across the projects to ensure the right inputs are gathered to respond to client requests, including procurement activities, monitoring progress of estimate development, and submission.Prepare, maintain and report on progress against schedules for the delivery of projects.Develop project budgets, cost reports and forecasts and monitor and control project costs.Assist with the identification of potential hazardous site activities and ensure appropriate procedures and controls are implemented.Lead effective, collaborative relationships with Design Partners to provide critical input into the design of assets, to ensure value for money outcomes.Ensure the consideration of community, environment, operations and maintenance issues are integrated into the selection of preferred options for projects during the planning and design process.Develop through coaching to build capability of Project Engineers in effective project management, subcontractor management, estimating processes, etc.What's on offerPermanent role in a long-term partnership contract.Access to our VenPerks employee benefit program provides discounts with 450 retailers, Australia-wide, including Woolworths, Coles, Booking.com and Expedia.Access to a variety of health and wellbeing initiatives including discounted health insurance, and our employee assistance program.Career growth working within a Joint Venture between two industry leaders and ASX listed companies.Interesting and varied work, with support from a wider network of water industry professionals within Downer and Ventia's expansive water businesses.The opportunity to work on the picturesque Gold Coast and enjoy the many lifestyle benefits it has to offer.About youCert IV or higher Project Management qualifications.Leadership Qualifications (Cert IV Leadership & Management) highly regarded.Experience in the water sector or civil construction is desirable.Evidence of immunity or willingness to obtain vaccination to gain immunity to Hepatitis A & B.DiversityVentia is enriched by the diverse experiences, talents and cultures that our people bring to the organisation, while celebrating and respecting the communities we operate in.
