The role:To be successful in this position you'll be a self-starter with demonstrated experience working within the Construction industry. Refurbishment and fit out experience is essential. Your exceptional interpersonal skills and collaborative nature will help you develop authentic relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will show strong abilities to multi-task between various projects whilst providing solid and consistent direction to your project team.
Reporting to the General Manager in Canberra, you will be responsible for overall management of projects including planning, coordination, right through to completion.
In this role you will be responsible for:Managing all aspects of the project including financialsProject managing from initial site setup to completionEnsuring compliance with HSEQ requirementsEnsuring effective cost control and efficient running of the projectProject progress reporting and conducting weekly meetings with the clientProvision of advice on any technical and engineering issuesLiaise closely with the client ensuring project runs to programTo be successful, you will need:Relevant industry qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or similar, preferably with trade background;Sound experience within the Construction Industry, preferable in the commercial fit-out and refurbishment section, with a minimum of 5-7 years' experience;Proven abilities to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders;In-depth knowledge of construction procedures and project management principlesExtensive experience in managing budgets for large construction projectsCompetency in MS Project, Excel and Word are essential, as much as Powerpoint, Timberline, Project Centre and Aconex (desirable);Advanced understanding of risk management policies and proceduresHighly developed communication and interpersonal skillsUnderstanding of the BCAWhat We offer:Exciting landmark projectsCareer growth and development opportunitiesLeave Benefits, including Purchase Annual Leave and Parental Leave schemeBonus IncentiveAttractive salary on offer based on experience.We will only accept applications from candidates currently living in Australia.
