Project & Development Services (PDS) business is crucial in managing and delivering major capital works pursuits and projects for Defence across Australia.Australian Citizenship is mandatory for this position.We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our ACT team to ensure that JLL will successfully continue delivering capital works projects to Defence bases.Key Duties and responsibilities include:Effective management of all phases of a project (or projects) from initial establishment to handover and project closure.Assist in establishing and maintaining Health Safety and Environmental systems and take responsibility for areas under your direction.Manage the commercial success of the project for both client and JLL.Determine the needs, requirements, and constraints of the client.Represent the client's best interests from inception to completion of the project.Maintaining a positive client relationship.Work with the project team to achieve the best possible performance from all members.Manage the pre-design, design, construction, and completion stages of the project.Work with the project manager to establish and adhere to the overall project programme.The overall quality of the final product.Represent and promote the company throughout the project.Accurate and timely project reporting.This is what we're looking for:Prior experience in Defence-related infrastructure projects would be advantageous but not essential.Prepared to travel away from home locations will be necessary to effectively manage the projects across the Defence Estate.Ensure a Safety and Environmental Plan is in place and is actively complied with by yourself and others.Maximise project profitability for JLL.Implement JLL 3-phase delivery process and the activities set down within the 3 phases.Ensure repeat business from existing clients.Assemble and effectively lead consultants, contractors, and suppliers to achieve the best possible performance from all project team members.Be able to effectively run multiple projects.Ensure appropriate Commonwealth procurement processes are implemented and contracts are in place with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.Within each project, ensure an effective organisation structure for reporting, communication, and working procedures.Establish a detailed overall project programme that sets clear milestones and objectives to ensure successful project delivery.Establish project budget in accordance with client requirements and manage and forecast expenditure to achieve completion within budget.Manage professional consultants necessary for the design and documentation of the project.Carry out value engineering, buildability analysis, and critically review the design and documentation to minimise risk and maximise outcomes.Carry out contract administration of all vendors professionally and in accordance with legal requirements to protect the commercial interests of the client and JLL.Produce detailed monthly reports for projects covering safety, environment, program, resources, budgets, risk, and profitability.Assist Defence Account State Lead in preparing PCG reports and attending PCG meetings as required.Be an active participant in weekly project meetings as required.Review and negotiate project requirements with authorities.Manage the project's construction phase and ensure JLL is providing appropriate supervision commensurate with our role.Implement an appropriate quality control system.Identify, mitigate, and report on project risks to ensure the delivery of projects on time and under budget.Utilise JLL technology, including Project Home Page (PHP), Prolog, and Atlas.Maintain positive lines of communication with clients and other stakeholders.Prepare reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence in a timely, concise, and accurate manner.Be able to manage project delivery from inception to closure, with advice from Defence Account State Lead as required.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project and experience in managing cost reporting systems such as Prolog.Understand each project's legal environment in terms of planning, commercial aspects, and delivery constraints.Can carry out commercial negotiations with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and authorities.Understand our obligations for complying with AS 4801, AS 14001, and Environmental Health and Safety legislation.Ability to assess client's basic needs and project constraints.What you can expect from us:As an organisation, we don't just
