We are a fast-moving business that has undergone incredible growth in recent years. We are looking for a qualified and experienced Project Manager to join our team on a full-time basis in Canberra.
The Role You will report to the Project Director and be responsible for the delivery of construction site based projects for our clients. This role includes a healthy mix of Pre-Construction & Construction responsibilities including significant time based onsite at client sites.
This role involves a high degree of trust, autonomy and accountability. Your peers will rely on your commitment to delivery deadlines as well as your decision making and problem solving capabilities.
We operate live construction sites largely within corporate workplace environments. As a front line representative of our brand and our business you are expected to uphold our values and our commitment to on time, on budget delivery to the highest standard.
Duties Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Actively participating in tender submissions including RFT evaluation, site inspections, tender submissions and post tender interviews as required;Providing ongoing leadership and direction to project staff including Project Coordinators. Contract Administrators & Site Managers;Chairing stakeholder briefings including weekly client meetings, capturing and owning comprehensive Actions & Minutes;Developing high quality Cost Plans & construction programmes and decision making material. The ability to confidently present such deliverables to senior client representatives is essential;Financial management experience of multiple and concurrent multi million dollar project budgets;Reviewing detailed plans (Architectural, Services & Schedules) and sequencing work amongst our extensive supply chain of sub-contractors and trades;Capturing and maintaining detailed RFI (Request for Information) Registers;Managing project and organisational risk and the development and execution of Risk Management mitigation strategies.Skills & Experience Proven experience in a similar role across the fit out/refurbishment spaceDegree in Construction Management or related field highly desirable;Demonstratable experience leading & directing project teams;Demonstratable experience developing and managing complex Cost Plans & construction programmesConfident and capable in a client facing role with demonstrated experience managing senior business stakeholders;Strong existing industry network (designers, engineers, client side PMs etc), active participation in industry groups e.g. WIDAC highly regardedExperience in end to end in our project life cycle (cultivating opportunities > scoping > pricing > negotiation > delivery);Highly proficient in comprehending complex construction plans and drawings;Experienced across Microsoft Office and Procore or similarNext steps If you are interested in this role, please apply or get in touch with Izzy Ringhofer on 0458399 526/ ****** for a confidential discussion.
