The Opportunity: We seek a Client-Side Project Manager to work with our client, the Australian Federal Police assets across ACT. You will Manage end-to-end project management activity for construction sites, refurbs, and fit-outs.
As this is a Federal Government asset, you will need to comply with the statutory regulations: Required to undergo and maintain an NV1 clearance successfully. Reporting to the PMO team, you will plan, organise, program, and run a rollout of different types of work, from minor to major upgrades.
As Project Manager, you must contribute independently to the tasks below. As a PM, you are highly familiar with the subject matter and can produce these deliverables with little guidance from senior team members. Project Managers can also validate and oversee deliverables produced by Project Coordinators and Assistant Project Managers. It is expected a PM manages between 5-8 projects at various stages.

As a PM you demonstrate a high familiarity with the subject matter and can produce these deliverables with little guidance from senior team members. Project Managers can also validate and oversee deliverables produced by Project Coordinators and Assistant Project Managers. It is expected a PM manages between 5-8 projects at various stages. 
You will also take total responsibility for effectively managing all phases of a project (or projects) from initial establishment to handover and project closure. The role requires coordinating thought and leadership skills to encourage maximum contributions of all participants in the project and focus these to maximise outcomes for all stakeholders.

This is what we're looking for: You have a degree in Project or Construction Management or a related field with six (6) years' experience or a combination of formal education and experience in excess of ten (10) years, four of which must be related to Design, Construction or Project Management.
You have a positive attitude, and a problem solver with the ability to work as part of a large team and autonomously when required. You are also a subject matter specialist and can produce deliverables with little guidance from senior team members. You are also capable of running 5-8 projects at various stages.
You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You are a strong leader that can guide a team, use thought coordination and focus to maximise outcome for stakeholders. You are also proficient in MS Office Suite, SharePoint and Microsoft Project with experience in managing cost reporting systems. You have a strong understanding of compliance, health, and safety guidelines.
