This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to reframing the relationship of First Nations people and the Department to support co-stewarding the cultural and natural values of Queensland.
This position involves co-designing an approach with First Nations people to develop a contemporary framework which transitions certain management aspects of national parks (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal land) to First Nations partners.
The role works closely with QPWS&P Management and Operations staff and Traditional Owners to create a framework and plans acceptable to First Nations people and the Department.
