Project Manager

The Project Manager will lead and manage significant and complex projects and ensure the successful implementation and completion of assigned projects across a large-scale program of work, working in collaboration with key stakeholders in achieving key outcomes. You will work across a range of high-profile priority projects across Queensland Police Services focused on designing and implementing critical transformative projects for major benefits to the organisation and community.
You will have proven experience leading the delivery of large-scale, complex, multidisciplinary projects across a geographically dispersed workforce. Alongside your depth of technical expertise (in project management, and one or more key operational or functional areas) and relevant project management qualifications you will demonstrate an alignment with the QPS values.

Your Key Accountabilities: Analyse, develop, design, and implement project plans to deliver projects.Plan and manage project activities in line with Queensland Police Service and Whole of Government best practice and standards, following project management methodologies.Provide high level strategic direction and leadership in the analysis, design, development and implementation of projects and related business strategies and organisational change.Provide regular project progress status and financial reports to stakeholders and prepare, review and present project reports, briefing notes, submissions, and other correspondence.Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver project outcomes and to ensure compliance with business governance processes.Provide guidance to project stakeholders to facilitate informed business decisions that improve business processes and meet changing and challenging business needs.Represent the program or project team in a variety of forums.Role Requirements: Qualification: Relevant tertiary and/or project management qualifications and proven experience of project management within a large and complex organisation will be highly regarded.Technical/Operational/Educational experience: Exposure to one or more key operational or functional areas: police operations, IT, policy/legislation, safety, property/facilities/infrastructure, mobile assets, procurement, finance and human resources.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
