From concept and design to complete turnkey new build projects, to complex, innovative projects designed to extend, repair, and repurpose existing facilities, our Construction team delivers excellence every time.The roleWe are seeking a Project Manager who:Has recent project management experience on commercial and industrial projects ranging from $0.5m - $25mHas a proven track record of high-quality projects safely delivered on time and on budgetEnjoys leading and managing a team, using initiative and thinking on your feetThe role is full-time, permanent, Monday to Friday based in our head office in Salisbury, Brisbane. The role may periodically be site-based dependent on project requirements.You will have the autonomy to effectively manage your projects and ensure they are delivered safely, on-time & within budget. As a leader of a small, multidisciplinary team, you will also have the opportunity to support other teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects to high levels of customer satisfaction.Tasks & responsibilitiesDevelop project plans and schedules, including timelines and milestones.Collaborate with clients, design teams, site teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to establish project requirements and expectations.Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.Procure, coordinate, and effectively manage all necessary resources, including materials, equipment, and labour.Implement quality, safety, and risk control measures to uphold construction standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and identify any issues that require attention.Foster a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and productivity.Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, including site staff and contractors.Qualifications & experienceMUST have at least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager delivering commercial and industrial projects.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to hold others to account.Deep understanding of project management methodology.Highly effective problem-solver; exceptional ability to analyse problems, develop solutions, and make decisions.Trade or tertiary qualified in a construction industry relevant discipline such as Engineering, Construction Management, Building Surveying, or a degree with relevant post-grad experience (advantageous).Professional attitude with the desire to learn and progress your career in the construction industry.SBP Australia are looking to invest in a long-term team member that wants to build a successful career.
