The Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE) System Procurement (SP) Project is responsible for the specification, contracting and purchasing of an estimated $1 billion in FFE required for the more than $14 billion capital investment the Queensland Government is making into health infrastructure. Through exceptional project management and communication skills, the Project Manager will deliver the outcomes necessary to drive process improvement strategies that support the capability uplift of staff and improved procurement delivery and customer engagement.

The successful candidate will apply appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered.
Reporting / work relationshipsThe Project Manager reports to the FFESP Project Director and will have 1-2 direct reports.
Mandatory qualifications, registrations and other requirementsWhile not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.Ability to work across South East Queensland sites.Role fitThe essential requirements for this role are:
Demonstrable experience in successfully managing complex and large-scale projects.Expertise in applying established project management methodologies and providing advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques and tools.Well-developed leadership and management skills, and experience in building and sustaining high profile multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve high quality project outcomes.Highly developed communication and interpersonal competence, including resilience and a proven ability to lead negotiations, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivate others in a significant environment of reform and change.Ability to identify and drive process improvement by using evidence to demonstrate the need for change, as well as the being able to communicate how change may be enacted.Proven issue identification, analytical and research skills, problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative, sensitive and practical solutions and provide expert strategic advice to complex issues.The department is committed to leadership at all levels of our organisation.
