Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public WorksService Modernisation Program; Information & Digital Services; Corporate Services; BrisbaneTo support the Homes for Queenslanders plan, Information and Digital Services is leading a Service Modernisation Program (SMP) which will deliver a comprehensive program of work which will:improve the way vulnerable Queenslanders interact with our frontline services;provide a single source of truth for data;provide us with the agility to respond to the changing needs of Queenslanders through reducing the complexity of our ICT ecosystem.The Project Manager will report directly to the Program Director - Delivery and will be responsible for the delivery and leadership of selected Service Transformation projects that drive SMP objectives.We are looking for a dedicated project manager who is committed to making a difference and is best suited for the role. We will consider your knowledge, skills, experience, potential for development, and future contribution to the department, as well as your personal qualities and how they contribute to building a diverse workforce that reflects the Queensland community.What you will be doing:Develop, influence and manage relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders, identifying cross-government synergies and opportunities for collaboration in delivery of project and program outcomes.Lead and manage technical service modernisation and transformation projects, in order to achieve program objectives, on time and within budget.Facilitate the prioritisation and strategic alignment of initiatives to contribute towards strategic decision making.Facilitate regular project assurance activities to help mitigate risk effectively.Lead effective project planning, risk, change, quality, and resource management activities within projects to support successful project delivery, and consistent application of program and project management methodologies.Lead the monitoring and reporting of the project's benefits, schedules, dependencies, finances, and general status.Lead the management of financial planning, budgets and vendor engagements and contracts to ensure successful project outcomes.Provide timely and expert advice to project and program boards.Provide exceptional leadership, build resilience, and work collaboratively across multi-functional teams whilst effectively managing uncertainty and change.What we are looking for:Demonstrate experience and expertise in agile project management of multi-channel service transformation projects, including the use of technology, integrations and supporting systems and processes to enable the successful delivery of project outcomes.Demonstrate previous hands-on experience in delivering service digitisation and transformation projects that are underpinned by human-centred design.Demonstrate experience in high-level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program delivery environment.Advanced relationship management skills, including proven stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence to enable the development of positive working relationships to support effective business change to achieve organisational outcomes.Apply strategic thinking and planning and explore and implement new ways of thinking to enhance the delivery of projects and the achievement of organisational goals.Demonstrated experience in effective management of budget, people and processes across multiple projects.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/608102/24Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.Please ensure you download all attachments and follow the instructions on how to apply.DocumentsBefore applying for this vacancy please ensure you read the documents below.applicant-guide (Word, 1.00MB)608102 24 Role Description (PDF, 241KB)Need help?If you have any questions about your account or accessing this website, please check our knowledge base.
