The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that the identified portfolio of centre upgrade projects along with respective Major / Minor works are completed in line with agreed safety, quality, cost and schedule targets.In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of agreed centre upgrade projects.
You will be experienced in managing complex projects and delivering on-time, in-budget and with safety as your primary focus.This role is best suited for candidates with 5 years of project management experience, looking to build on their expertise in a collaborative and purpose-built environment.

Areas of core responsibility include, but are not limited to:Work collaboratively with Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, wider Property and Facilities team to undertake and execute delegated works according to geographical location, complexity, size, cost, risk, to respective standards, budget and contractual procurement requirements according to G8 Education's strategic targets.Manage procurement of Capital Works through to recommendation to the National Capital Works Manager on contract type, amendments to contracts, contractor panels for expressions of interest, tenders and requests for quotation.Conduct on the job training sessions with junior team members where required in all facets of Capital works project managementDevelop the project plan containing scope, costs, schedule and other relevant components and ensure the plan is approved in line with the Group's policiesManage the process for selection of the preferred supplier/s to complete the agreed works in line with the Group's procurement processes ensuring they met respective Bluecard and H & S requirementsRegularly monitor progress against the approved project plan, escalating issues and taking actions to ensure the project is completed in line with the agreed planAssist with or take responsibility for other team members centre upgrade portfolio responsibilities as directed by the National Capital Works Manager, or in their absence, using your own initiative, when other team members are unable to attend to their portfolio responsibilities due to illness, leave, training or other reasons.Develop and maintain a risk register for the portfolio of projects, to enable key risks to be identified and managed throughout the life of all projects according to size, complexity and extent of those risks identified.Provide regular reporting, including monthly and, where required, weekly to key stakeholders within the Property, Operations and Executive teams including forecasts for each project to enable pro-active decisions to be madeEnsure that projects undertaken are compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements including but not limited to the Building Code of Australia BCA Volume 1 and 2 (part of the National Construction Code series published by the Australian Building Codes Board and incorporating, Australian Standards, both of which are subject to change from time to time), National Quality Standards, Workplace Health and Safety and sustainability legislation).About YouYou thrive in a fast-paced and engaging work environment, valuing strong partnerships, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.
