This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading.Role DutiesThe Technical Project Manager will be required to undertake the following duties as directed by the Manager Client Support:Project manage multiple work streams, work packages, and activities against target deadlines within a time-critical work environment to ensure that deliverables are prioritised and completed within the specified timeframes.Produce project artefacts based on industry standard project management methodologies tailored to agile oriented practices.Scope, plan and co-ordinate work packages and tasking around technical subject matter content.Plan and co-ordinate delivery of work activities that include multiple IT teams, suppliers, service partners.Ensure project priorities are delivered on time, on budget and within quality tolerances.Manage project and work package estimates, budgets, invoicing and resources.Note: this is a hands-on PM role which is expected to be proficient in promptly producing and managing project schedules, using office applications, coordinating meetings, and producing related action items, artefacts, info graphics, and documents. It is not a role which delegates to or relies on others to produce these sorts of outcomes.Essential Qualifications / Certifications / SkillsThe Contractor must have experience in and knowledge of the following:Proven ability to manage IT technical oriented projects and work breakdown structures.Ability to manage multiple work packages and activities in parallel.Ability to plan and schedule projects using appropriate PM tools, eg the PM should be adept with hands-on ability in producing work breakdown structures, Gantt charts, task and resource usage views, etc, and show experience from using industry common PM toolsets, such as MS Project, Jira, Trello, Slack, Libre, etc.Experience with and hands-on ability (ie immediately productive) with Microsoft products and office based applications, eg Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, etc.Monitoring of activity and tasks to ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, time, and scope, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, document, and manage project risks and issues, and establish and maintain project registers.Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, manage and motivate a project team including planning and prioritising work, ensuring deadlines are met, managing budget and resources, maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.Proven ability to gather information and advice for other technical teams, so that the business requirements and technical interdependencies are adequately understood.Well-developed change management skills, with the ability to manage related change processes or issues arising, and the ability to incorporate into project schedules the desired outcomes or change or transitional benefits identified.Ability to draft business cases and options analysis if required, eg the cost benefit of transitioning or retiring assets associated with MoG transitions, and where for instance incompatible technology product sets are identified as part of a MoG transition into the ITP partnership.Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to develop and maintain project communication channels and facilitate collaboration and open communication amongst stakeholder groups.Ability to maintain positive working relationships across teams, suppliers, and Clients, with a high degree of interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to work with colleagues and Clients at all levels and personality styles.Experience in procurement practices in a government context, and implementation of related services.Highly Desirable Qualifications/Certifications/SkillsProven experience in one or more of the leading industry project management methodologies, eg PMBOK, Prince2, and/or Agile based variants.Experience with formal board governance structures, including preparation of project documentation and managing and running a formal project board.Experience in projects that incorporate IT technical infrastructures, systems, and related components, within large government or corporate technology environments.Previous experience working in government agencies would be advantageous.To apply email ****** quoting REF #241697 with a Word format version of your resume.Applications close November 17th midnight.
