The Mobile Capability Centre (MCC) requires a permanent project manager to plan and manage project activities in line with Queensland Police Service (QPS) and Whole of Government (WoG) best practice and standards.To provide high level strategic direction and leadership for new mobile capabilities for the over 11,000 QLiTE mobile fleet responding to Commission of Inquiry (COI) and business optimisation initiatives; identify innovative applications for new and emerging technologies in policing, while upholding community expectations around transparency, privacy and ethics; and enable new mobile ways of working and provide fit for purpose resources.As a project manager, you are expected to have a contemporary project management approach that delivers high performance, enhances relationships, manages risk and delivers ongoing value for money. You are expected to provide specialist, authoritative and professional advice to internal and external clients, committees and boards. You will be part of a diverse team working from Makerston House, Brisbane with some flexibility in working arrangements. The team includes sworn officers, public service employees, contractors and Telstra delivery partner teams.Your Key AccountabilitiesThe Core Capability Requirements for this role are:Analyse, develop, design, and implement project plans for agreed projects.Plan and manage project activities in line with Queensland Police Service and Whole of Government best practice and standards.Provide high level strategic direction and leadership in the analysis, design, development and implementation of a project and related business strategies and organisational change.Provide regular project progress status and financial reports to Management and Clients and prepare, review and present project reports, briefing notes, submissions, and other correspondence.Lead high level project activities and resources to ensure the successful implementation of project deliverables for the Mobile Capability Centre (MCC).Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with business governance processes for organisational change, capacity, and configuration management.Provide guidance to project stakeholders to facilitate informed business decisions that improve business processes and meet changing and challenging business needs.Represent the program or project team in a variety of forums relating to MCC projects.Role RequirementsMandatoryThere are no mandatory requirements for the role.
