Position Overview Fixed Term - 3 Years | Full or Part Time | $111k - $125k per year +15.4% superWork at the Australian Synchrotron, Clayton, VICUse your project management skills to deliver science and engineering outcomesAbout the OpportunityReporting to the General Manager Nuclear Science & Technology Capital Portfolio, the Project Manager will manage multi-disciplinary projects across the Australian Synchrotron's capital program to deliver and maintain world-class research infrastructure.
This role will lead projects using an enterprise project management methodology, from feasibility through design, execution, commissioning and completion, ensuring conformance with processes, frameworks and regulatory procedures.
About YouTo be considered for this role, you will have a certification/qualification in Project Management and a technical background in a science and/or engineering discipline relevant to research infrastructure, with 3+ years of project delivery experience.
You enjoy the detail involved in planning projects and are able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork to deliver them.
You will manage projects ranging from research instrumentation to facilities asset management upgrades.
This position is ideal for someone who is organised, has proven financial, risk and contract expertise, can ask the right questions and is driven by science and technology outcomes.
Your Duties and Responsibilities Lead the planning and execution of projects from initiation to completion using project management frameworksConduct regular meetings with the project team and other stakeholdersTrack project plans, schedules and costs against established deliverables and deadlinesPro-actively identify and manage interdependencies, risks and issues, and drive resolutionsPrepare and analyse reports for and presentations to key stakeholdersEffectively manage procurement and contract negotiation and executionAbout UsANSTO leverages great science to deliver big outcomes.
