Role: RJE Global are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the project management team.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the successful execution of design and construct projects from inception to completion.
Your role will involve managing the project team, ensuring adherence to project schedules, contracts, budgets, and quality standards, as well as maintaining effective communication with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
This is a senior-level position that requires exceptional leadership, project management, and technical expertise.
You will play a crucial role in driving the successful delivery of projects, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and profitability.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of construction projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout phases;Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with client requirements, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards;Provide strategic guidance and direction to project teams, ensuring effective coordination, collaboration, and communication among all stakeholders;Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery;Conduct regular meetings and site visits to assess construction activities, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols;Oversee the selection and management of subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies, project specifications and contractual obligations;Monitor and control project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities and addressing any financial issues;Regularly review and report the project status, including budget updates, cash flow forecasting, schedule deviations, and quality control;Manage and negotiate contracts, change orders, and claims, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements;Foster positive relationships with clients, consultants, and other external stakeholders, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for future collaborations;Mentor and provide guidance to junior project management staff, promoting professional growth and development within the organization;Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in construction project management, and implement relevant advancements into project delivery processes.Required: Degree in Construction and/or Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
A postgraduate degree is preferred;Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in managing large-scale construction projects, preferably within Australia;Strong knowledge of Australian construction regulations, codes, and industry standards;Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget;Proficiency in project management software and tools;Excellent leadership abilities, with the capacity to effectively lead and motivate project teams;Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex situations and provide practical solutions;Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members;Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines;Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are highly desirable;Willingness to travel to project sites across Australia as required;Join our team and take on this exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of prestigious construction projects in Australia.
