Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join their team in Alice Springs, NT - Australia. It is a condition upon your application that candidates are Australian or US citizens to obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. THE ROLE The Position The Project Manager is required to provide management of construction projects, project teams, and stakeholders. The Project Manager will provide technical, scope, budget, design, safety, and schedule advice to subcontractors, stakeholders, and the client in all aspects of a project's lifecycle. The Project Manager will work as part of the larger Amentum Projects and Construction team in achieving project and program success through coordinated project delivery as part of a program of works.

Essential Responsibilities: Working under the supervision of a Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager shall demonstrate and provide project leadership in their area of responsibility. Report to the Senior Project Manager on a weekly basis for coordination with the remainder of the Construction Portfolio. Provide support to the Proposals team prior to, during, and following tenders, including drafting a Statement of Work and Response Schedule, bid analysis, organizing project documentation, providing vendor feedback, and supporting contract negotiations. Develop and implement the Project Management Plan for all phases of the project and communicate and coordinate the implementation of the plan with the project team. Conduct the duties of the Superintendent's representative on construction and design projects, including monitoring subcontractor performance/progress and facilitating early identification and timely resolution of potential problems. Manage the project scope, ensuring adherence to the contractual baseline defined in the approved statement of work and contract. Ensure the RFI and submittal process is adhered to. Conduct weekly meetings with the Subcontractor and customer representative. Establish, track, and report status against key performance indicators or contractual metrics on a routine basis. Demonstrate command of the schedule goals, key milestones, and approach to the work embodied in the schedule. Consistently meet or improve upon the established schedule goals in their area of responsibility. Manage performance and progress against the plan and ensure accurate forecasts with commensurate action plans. Establish annual operating budgets in cooperation with the customer, business manager, or group financial department. Provide accurate monthly forecasts of cost, schedule, and resource utilization. Review, report, and manage key performance measures defined within the contract and implement corrective measures when measures are outside service levels or bandwidths. Understand site requirements, specifically the implementation of US versus Australian design standards and CONUS versus OCONUS procurement. Manage physical assets deployed to the project. Identify potential project problems or opportunities, analyze the issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities. Support or conduct formal presentations to clients and/or management. Aid in the development of new strategies and plans for future operational support. Undertake detailed technical investigations and provide associated recommendations and reports. Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications: Minimum Essential Manual Driver's License NT Construction White Card (or interstate equivalent). Qualifications: Desirable Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, or Project Management or other relevant discipline. Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2 etc.) Experience: Minimum Essential Demonstrated 5 years relative experience applicable in field of operations, maintenance, and construction or engineering. Demonstrated ability to manage both subcontractors and consultants. Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and understanding of schedule, scope, and budget management. Demonstrated experience working directly with a client and complex matrix of stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to interpret technical information and generate technical reports. Experience: Desirable Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions. Demonstrated ability to plan projects in line with predicted operational requirements. Ability and experience in mentoring, coaching, and training of personnel. Knowledge of US power standards as well as electrical/power project delivery is preferred. Understanding and commitment to the principles of workplace diversity and equity, and EH&S. STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS At least 18 years of age. Able to fluently read, write, and speak English. Australian or US citizen. EHS REQUIREMENT All Amentum personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health and safety requirements. Completing work tasks in a safe manner. Reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to their supervisor and/or PMO/EHS Manager. Continuous adherence to the environmental, health and safety procedures outlined in the Handbook during the performance of their work. Red-Carding a Job - Employee right and responsibility to "STOP WORK" if a job is unsafe or poses a danger to the environment.
