Our Client, a Tier 1 Iron Ore Producer, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Project Manager to commence work on an exciting new project in the Pilbara region of W.A. This role will be primarily based at their Perth location with site trips required once per month for up to 5 days.

Responsibilities and Duties: Plan, manage and direct large-scale, complex projects based on a defined need and to achieve project objectives. Planning the scope and baseline for the project, including defining the project plan, charter and project schedule Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan Apply management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to a broad range of tasks to deliver the desired result for a particular project in a timely manner Execute the project schedule to ensure that the project team completes each activity according to plan Accountable for the delivery and success of the project and the acceptance of the product by the customer Demonstrates advanced application of competencies in highly complex, dynamic and challenging situations and contexts. Must demonstrate deep knowledge and experience in these competencies and be recognised as having specialist expertise in all areas. Knowing the business of programmes & projects: Understanding and applying wide professional knowledge, experience, expertise and wisdom to all stages of the project. Detailed knowledge of the project management methodology, tools and templates (includes project planning, schedule development, change control and cost management processes) and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines Getting the technology right: Understanding key technology and technological drivers in order to optimise outcomes and risk Delivering the project: Planning from concept to closure and implementing the project from shaping to handover using appropriate strategies, systems, processes, tools and resources Building productive stakeholder relationships: Identifying, developing and sustaining productive relationships with all stakeholders to deliver the best business outcomes Optimising and sustaining value: Defining and communicating the project business case and ensuring that effort is focused on delivering sustainable value Leading the project: Managing the diverse range of variables inherent in a constantly changing project environment, providing a productive project work culture that unites disparate groups Risk & Quality: Ensure all projects adhere to end to end project methodology compliance standards. Identify project dependencies and assess and resolve all project risks as they are encountered Monitor and control the work to ensure that the project remains on track and in control. Evaluate trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk and stakeholder value Accountable for accurate and timely data quality in the relevant information systems Stakeholder Management: Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria and continually update relevant business stakeholder of project status and periodically publish project status reports Team Leadership: Build, lead, and coach project teams throughout project lifecycles to drive a successful outcome of the project Execute formal reviews and management reviews Mandatory Competencies Managing Communications WAN/LAN/Microwave/LTE - ideally LTE experience Project Management qualification – PMI, PRINCE2, Diploma/Certificate in PM, or equivalent PM 101 - Ability to develop and manage accurate MS project schedules, financials, risks, issues, stakeholder management Ability to work with our procurement team to find and successfully embed external service providers Experience mobilising teams and completing work on Iron Ore sites Ability to get to site once a month for 1-5 days per trip Desirable Competencies PMBOK qualification If you possess a positive attitude, work well within a team and have great attention to detail, please apply now to be considered for the role immediately.
