Our client is seeking two Project Managers to support the delivery of a range of project activities, with a focus on information technology.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the application of an overarching project management framework and the development of comprehensive project plans.Ensure the delivery of the project plan according to clear scope, schedule and budget and in line with stakeholder expectations.Identify and integrate requirements of multiple disciplines and subject matter areas including human resources, finance, infrastructure and information technology systems.Build partnerships with all relevant stakeholders, ensuring positive and effective engagement is maintained throughout the project life cycle.Proactively manage risks and issues in consultation with stakeholders and ensure appropriate controls and mitigation strategies are formulated and implemented.Establish and maintain robust governance processes and documentation in accordance with project best practice management methodologies.Support the broader project teams to define and deliver project outcomes and coordinate input from team members and others.Represent the project teams at project steering committees and provide regular reports and presentations on project progress and risks.Contribute to workplace equity, diversity and inclusion that enriches our culture of respect and inclusion.Perform other essential duties and tasks specific to the position as would be reasonably required.Technical Skills, Abilities and Cultural CapabilitySkills in formal project management methodologies and approaches (such as Prince2 or Agile).Experience leading the planning and delivery of complex projects in the public sector (ideally across different agencies).Ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, building productive and enduring partnerships.Proven experience in successfully managing teams of staff with multi-disciplinary skillsets.Drive, initiative, and ability to work independently, making sound autonomous judgments and decisions.Qualifications and ConditionsThe successful applicant is likely to have at least 3 years' experience as a Project Manager.
Relevant certifications are highly desirable and should be clearly highlighted in applications. This may include certifications in formal project management methodologies, such as Prince2.
Given the complexity and criticality of ICT system and asset transition, prior subject matter and project management skills and experience in this area would be highly regarded.
