The Role
Project Managers will support the IA SPO Program Director in the management and successful delivery of complex and highly sensitive projects.
They will:
Provide leadership and management of a multi-disciplined project team.Provide clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility and guiding and developing people.Oversee all aspects of project activities including schedule, risk, budget and resources, documentation (including briefs, reports, and submissions), technical, human resources, and Industry/Commonwealth stakeholder relationships.Apply established technical, operational, professional and administrative activities, procedures, practices and project management methodologies. The Information Assurance Systems Program Office (IA SPO) is part of the Joint Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems Branch (Joint C4S) within the Joint Systems Division (JSD) of the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG). JSD within CASG is a world-leading complex enterprise with a heavy dependence on information technology and its personnel. IA SPO has responsibility for major and minor High Assurance Cryptographic Equipment (HACE) acquisition projects and in service sustainment of HACE fleet and supporting systems.
Our Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:A demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies that will translate to the Defence environment.The ability to lead multi-discipline teams in the development of work products.The ability to establish and maintain constructive cross team and stakeholder communication.Ability to manage a high workload with minimal supervision. Experience working with or for industry suppliers.Extensive knowledge in legislative frameworks, government decision-making, and Defence's missions and policies requirements.The ability to develop and mentor teams and individuals, identifying opportunities to increase team capability to ensure continuous improvement.
