Project Manager - South Australian OpportunityWe are excited to partner with a prominent mechanical services company with a national footprint specialising in installations for clean rooms, industrial, health and commercial sectors. We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their innovative team.As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the successful execution of HVAC projects for commercial and industrial clients. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the projects, including planning, coordination, implementation, and completion, while ensuring they meet the specified requirements within the given timeline and budget.Key ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementOverall responsibility for managing specific contracts and acting as the primary point of contact with the client.Ensure subcontractors and suppliers have up-to-date insurance and certificates.Organise and manage resources to meet production and installation schedules.Liaise with suppliers to procure contract-specific equipment and place orders.Document ControlManage document control for specific contracts.Analyse contract documentation and specifications to establish construction schedules according to client requirements.FinanceControl project finances and budgets, including interim progress payment claims and receipts.Manage cost variations and seek approval.Work to increase the original estimated margin.Team ManagementProvide advice, assistance, and direction to relevant departments to ensure safe and efficient operations and successful project outcomes.Supervise manufacturing, on-site tradespeople, and subcontractor personnel to ensure compliance with work instructions.Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure satisfaction.Collaborate with Engineering, Drafting, Accounts, and Estimating departments.TrainingParticipate in training and identify additional training needs to enhance qualifications.Attend relevant training courses recommended by the manager.About YouQualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Proven experience as a Project Manager in the HVAC industry, with a focus on air conditioning projects.In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, design principles, and installation practices.Strong project management skills, including planning, organising, and resource management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Proficient in project management software and tools for scheduling, cost control, and document management.Ability to analyse and solve problems, make informed decisions, and manage project risks.Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and industry best practices.Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on team building and motivation.PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.Construction Industry Card (White Card).Current Drivers Licence.Commissioning experience.How To ApplyIf this sounds like the role and environment for you, we would love to hear from you!
