Sydney CBD – Hybrid flexibilityImmediate start 12-month contract$74.63 – $85.11 per hour + superOur Federal Government Client assists the Australian Government to fund hospital and aged care services more efficiently by providing evidence-based price determinations and pricing advice.The Costing and Data Infrastructure Branch is responsible for the specification, collection and validation of cost and activity data for hospital and aged care. The Branch is also responsible for the storage of that data to determine the national efficient price and national efficient cost each year.The Role:The Project Manager supports the branch with strategic development, project management and procurement, ensuring the probity of all processes. The position is required to coordinate and manage multiple priorities within defined timeframes and ensuring results.Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Being accountable to the section Director for major projects undertaken by the section and supporting the Director to deliver work plan priorities.Managing staff and section resources.Managing the public and private sector National Hospital Cost Data Collection including:Data specifications preparation.Contract management.Data collection.Data security.Data validation.Results reporting.Managing the development and maintenance of the Australian Hospital Patient Costing Standards (AHPCS).Managing reporting and benchmarking of the organisations protected data.Preparing complex documents including reports, technical and general correspondence, minutes, and briefings.Reporting to various advisory committees, managing relationships and working with stakeholders on issues related to National Hospital Cost Data Collection (NHCDC) data.Representing the business in liaison and engagement with external stakeholders, such as other government agencies, representatives of private sector hospitals, and members of the public.Qualifications:The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:Lead projects in an uncertain environment, working to tight deadlines and responding quickly to changing priorities with determination, tenacity and passion.Write and communicate to an excellent standard, in particular the ability to write clearly and concisely about complex matters, including to general audiences on technical subjects. Communicate and make decisions that are based on professional judgement and have a high level of impact.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, participating in committees and provide advice to senior management.Become familiar with the National Health Reform Act and other relevant legislation, and gain understanding of the key pillars of Activity Based Funding including counting, classifying, costing and pricing.Work with a focus on research, analyses and judgement to manage complex issues.Engage with risk including risk assessment and management activities.Additionally, a working knowledge of a health-related field, accounting and finance along with Project management and experience in data analysis, trend reporting would be highly desirable.
