The Project Manager Digital Transformation, Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch, Clinical Excellence Queensland reports to the Director, Digital Transformation and liaises with and takes direction from the Delivery Stream Lead, Digital Transformation Program.
You will be responsible for the successful management and delivery of clinical, digital and ICT-enabled projects to be delivered under the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Healthcare Digital Information Strategy 2022-2027 (the Strategy) and further defined in the Digital Transformation Business Case.
Key responsibilities of this role: Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland public service values as outlined above.
Lead a team of project management resources in the delivery of key projects including all facets of human resources, performance, reporting, coaching and mentoring.
Oversee the successful delivery of Digital Transformation Projects outlined in the Business Case, ensuring project outcomes are achieved and responsive to customer needs and complement other Digital Transformation initiatives.
Ensure project outcomes are achieved and project management capability is maintained within the Division by leading, managing and directing multi-disciplinary project team/s.
Provide expert advice and strategic input into the development of project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with Queensland Health policies, strategies and architecture.
Ensure projects are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and the project management approach and methodologies used by Queensland Health, the Division and projects delivered through the Strategy.
Ensure internal and external stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle by developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
Manage projects by overseeing the monitoring and reporting of project related trends and performance against project plans and budgets.
Enable informed decision making on project issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers for project stakeholders.
The position reports to the Director, Digital Transformation, Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch, Clinical Excellence Queensland.
This role includes several direct reports, with the number varying depending on the current stage of the project.

Within the context of the responsibilities described above under 'Your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Demonstrable experience in successfully managing complex and large-scale projects.
Expertise in applying established project management methodologies and providing advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques and tools.
Well-developed leadership and management skills, and experience in building and sustaining high profile multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve high quality project outcomes.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal competence, including resilience and a proven ability to lead negotiations, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivate others in a significant environment of reform and change.
Ability to identify and drive process improvement by using evidence to demonstrate the need for change, as well as the being able to communicate how change may be enacted.
Proven issue identification, analytical and research skills, problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative, sensitive and practical solutions and provide expert strategic advice to complex issues.
While not mandatory, project management qualifications and / or experience with development and implementation of enterprise solutions would be well regarded.
This position may be required to work from different sites.
