The Site / Project Manager is primarily accountable to the Operations or Area Manager Bulk Haulage & Site Services, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of haulage & site services operations. Depending on the project, this could include load & haul, crusher feed, haul road maintenance, site civil works and all project operational delivery. The role has responsibility for ensuring their site/s operate in accordance with company process, cost management and maximising fleet returns.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure HSEQ Compliance: Promote and monitor adherence to safety, health, environmental, and quality standards, fostering a proactive safety culture.Support Operational Delivery: Provide technical assistance and ensure daily operations meet MLG's safety and efficiency standards.Monitor Asset Use: Train and oversee asset operation to maintain MLG's reputation, while identifying opportunities for improvement.Oversee Contractual Obligations: Ensure compliance with project contracts and identify ways to enhance commercial returns.Lead Team Development: Build and coach a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and conducting regular performance reviews.Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives for sustainable business improvements and manage change effectively.Manage Financials: Review financial performance, provide accurate forecasts, and make informed decisions on resource allocation.Engage with Stakeholders: Maintain open communication with clients and internal teams to understand needs and ensure aligned execution.Skills/Qualifications: Strong technical knowledge - 5+ years within the heavy haulage or mining industry.Demonstrated experience leading teams across heavy haulage or mining industry.Minimum 5 years' experience in supervisory positions leading teams.Demonstrated experience serving as the primary site contact, effectively managing client liaison and communication.Understanding process of haulage and asset deployment in the carrying out of road & off-road haulage, road maintenance, ROM works and civil construction activities.Understand financial terms and processes regarding evaluating, pricing and executing haulage works.Have knowledge of compliance requirements in regard to haulage, HSE legislative frameworks and contract obligations.Current & Valid Commercial Driver's License with appropriate endorsements.National Police Clearance (validity dependant on site)Relevant Qualifications (Diploma or other relevant training)MLG Oz is an equal opportunity employer.
