As the Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the planning, execution, and delivery of grid-connected BESS installations. You will work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while adhering to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle for BESS installations. Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules. Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure design compliance. Liaise with regulatory bodies for permits and approvals. Oversee contractor selection, management, and performance. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports. Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations. Facilitate project meetings and communication channels. Lead project teams and foster a collaborative work environment. Address and resolve project issues and conflicts. Ensure successful project handover to operations teams. Optimise project delivery through continuous improvement initiatives. Manage project documentation and compliance records. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field. Minimum 5 years' experience managing large-scale energy infrastructure projects in Australia. Proven track record with grid-connected BESS or renewable energy projects. Strong knowledge of Australian energy regulations and standards. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Experience working with EPC contracts and managing contractors. Ability to travel within Australia as required.
