Classification: Senior Officer Grade BSalary: $142,329 - $159,780 plus superannuationPosition No: 67841Directorate: ACT HealthAdvertised (Gazettal date): 27 November 2024Contact Officer: Sarah Cramond on or Details: Suitably qualified and experienced applicants are encouraged to consider playing an exciting key role in the ACT Office of the Chief Psychiatrist in delivering, via the cross-government taskforce, on the Government response to the recommendations in the report titled Recommendations for reform of care, treatment and support provided to people deemed not guilty because of mental impairment and released from custody into the care of mental health services (the Chief Psychiatrist's report).
The Project Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of the 35 recommendations contained within the Chief Psychiatrists report as endorsed by the Government Response, including delivering project outcomes within approved resourcing and timeframes.
Strong and sensitive leadership in complex, sensitive and high-tempo environments is key to this role.
The position works closely and collaboratively with the Department of Justice and Canberra Health Services and areas across ACTHD, engages effectively across ACT Government, and builds and maintains relationships with representatives from the community, including those with lived experience, and across the health sector.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: A tertiary qualification or experience in project management will be highly regarded.
Professional/ Technical Skills and Knowledge: Experience in leadership, management and direction of health or similar projects, including demonstrated ability in delivering time, cost and scope outcomes within a legislative, policy and governance framework.Demonstrated ability to deliver and operate in a complex and dynamic environment with minimal supervision and work under pressure, effectively managing competing priorities.Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders at all levels to achieve outcomes.Behavioural Capabilities: Strong interpersonal, communication (oral and written), negotiation, liaison and representational skills, and the ability to work sensitively and fairly with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures.Demonstrated commitment to work, health and safety (WH&S) and behaviours consistent with the ACT Public Service Values and Signature Behaviours while working and leading across complex, sensitive, and potentially emotive issues.Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months.
