The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. About the role: Are you:An accomplished project manager with expertise in delivering complex initiatives, skilled at translating strategies into actionable programs and managing resources, schedules, and budgets?A proactive communicator and collaborator, adept at building strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring effective governance to drive financial improvement and capability outcomes?A critical thinker with strong business acumen, experienced in mitigating risks, optimising value, and leading high-performing teams to achieve impactful results?The Project Manager is responsible for supporting health sector financial sustainability via several initiatives including revenue optimisation and capability improvement initiatives. This position is pivotal in a specialist unit dedicated to driving financial improvement and capability across Victoria's health services.
The Project Manager will lead all aspects of project planning and execution, including developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and resources. They will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensure effective communication and collaboration, and proactively identify and mitigate risks. The Project Manager will also oversee procurement activities, provide high-level administrative support, and contribute to continuous improvement within the project management function.
