Trade or Tertiary qualified in Construction, Architecture or Project Management, along with 5+ years Building Upgrades / Refurbs experience within Commercial Offices, Hotel / Leisure, Universities, or Government premises.

Base Criteria Ideally degree qualified in Construction, Architecture, Project Management or Quantity Surveying along with a strong understanding of Facilities Management Minor Works and small Construction Capex Projects up to $5M. You will be able to Price-up and Quote Minor Works, or Variations while undertaking Project Management / Delivery.

Outline Duties Support and manage the efficient and effective delivery of day-to-day minor works or refurbishment projects as well as small Capex projects across a key client portfolio; providing key leadership and direction to direct / subcontract trades and sub-contractors.
You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of multiple concurrent building upgrades, presentation works, repairs, and minor projects with Capex to $5M across a diverse portfolio in accordance with the Building Code of Australia, Statutory Compliance and Industry Best Practice.

Skills and Attributes You will have excellent Project Management skills, able to undertake site walk-rounds and identify scope of works, create project timescales and costings along with justification for self-delivery versus sub-contracting. You will be able to read and interpret Architectural Drawings and advise on any alterations required. Technically capable, responsible for leading relationships with contractors undertaking project works – negotiating and justifying any variations, delivering to project timeframes and advising stakeholders of potential delays. An excellent communicator, with strong English language skills, you will provide clear and concise instructions, management and direction to direct trades and sub-contractors; while liaising internally at Director-level. Engaging personality and strong presentation skills. Collating Project Data (finance, timeframe, variations, challenges, LTIs) and Reporting to all stakeholders.
