As a Project Manager/Estimator at KF GROUP NT, you will play a vital role in the delivery of our construction projects across Darwin, NT.
In this full-time position, you will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets and timelines, and ensuring the successful completion of our construction projects.
Our office is based in Winnellie in Darwin, offering you the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing regional market.The position will be based in our Head Office in Winnellie, Darwin and will include managing multiple Northern Territory Government Projects.
The position will include managing all phases and functions of projects including liaising with all project stakeholders, scheduling, managing EOT's and variations, reporting, budget control, meeting with clients, onsite communications, inspections, audits and reporting to General Manager.What you'll be doingPrepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget.Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of projects.Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and availability.Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.Effectively communicate project status and financial performance to key stakeholders.Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.Collaborate with the project team to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.Extensive understanding of the construction industry.Manage all aspects of the project including tender phase, contract management, estimating, programming of work, and defect rectification.Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors.What we're looking forMinimum 4 years of experience as an Estimator or Project Manager in the Australian construction industry.Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques.Proficient in the use of project management software and tools.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in the Northern Territory.Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve project goals.The below knowledge and skills will be an advantage but are not essential:Previous experience and knowledge of working in remote NT locations when needed.Experience working on NT Government Projects.About usKF GROUP NT is a leading construction and maintenance company in the Northern Territory, specialising in commercial projects.
