About the Role:With the company showing continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Engineering and Projects team to work on various multidiscipline, turnkey projects. The role presents as a great opportunity to complement our current team and gain exposure to a wide range of industries which include:
General ConstructionStructural, Mechanical, Piping (SMP)WaterMiningOil and GasMarineFood and BeverageReporting to the Construction Manager, your primary responsibility will be the execution of projects that exceed customer's expectations, act as a project lead for the project team, delivery of projects ensuring compliance with Company's policies and procedures, maintaining a site presence (when required) and lead safety culture, and proactively report project progress.
Work Type: Full TimeResponsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:Managing and delivering project execution on-siteEffective management of people and processes for the projectBuilding effective communication and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholder managementPlanning, organising, and directing the completion of projects within a given time frame, budget and scopeEffective Project planning – including cost and schedule estimation where requiredUndertaking risk analysis and development of project planning artefactsUnderstanding commercial processes, including cost control, project reporting, procurement and contract managementEnsuring compliance with customers and company safety, quality and business processesEnsuring compliance in accordance with contract terms and conditions for the project in alignment with Company policies and proceduresKeeping stakeholders updated through internal and accurate project reporting.Providing technical skills, guidance and support to the team when requiredThis role would suit someone with demonstrated experience as a Project Manager position working on projects typically in the range of $5-10M.
Skills and experience:Tertiary qualification or advanced education in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural), Project Management, or Construction Management.Demonstrated years of experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project EngineerProblem-solving and innovation skills as an individual and as a team player.Experience in managing construction scheduling and cost/cash flow managementConstruction White Card and Current driver's license.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time and people management skillsHigh attention to detailStrong commitment to Work Health & Safety and Environmental standards.Proficiency using Microsoft Office Applications.Experience in Procore and Pronto or similar programs would be advantageousMust be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fit for work assessmentAbility to obtain DCSI and Defence clearanceAbility to travel based on project requirements.
