Project Manager (Electrical)

WHAT'S THE ROLE?Reporting to the General Manager and Senior PMO, the Project Manager will be responsible for Project and Resource Planning, Budgeting, Scheduling, Quality Assurance, Subcontractor Management, Defining and Managing Scope changes, and ensuring compliance to Workplace Health and Safety Systems. Aiding with the solution design and proposition of new projects, contracts, and potential client partnerships. This role will have a lot of involvement with proposal documentation and commercial engagements.Specifics:Manage a diverse range of projects in Australia (and potentially internationally if interested)Client and project site stakeholder managementReviewing and signing off HSE and quality requirementsAttending/chairing meetings including design reviews, Work in Progress, HAZOPs, Client and Subcontractor meetings, and site walk-through inspectionsSupporting project techno-economic reportingIdentifying likely problems and proactively taking preventive measures to mitigate and avoid potential project risks and delaysManaging as appropriate stakeholder, sub-contractor, and supplier relationshipsIdentify and provide training, coaching, and support to individuals and teamsSupport Power Systems and Renewable Energy projects inside the country (and globally)WHAT SKILLS ARE NEEDED?You possess strong problem-solving skills and enjoy working collaboratively as well as independently, are a "go-getter" along with the following skills:Qualification in electrical trade/project management/engineering or similar discipline highly desirable5+ years' experience in construction/renewable energy/project management/engineering or similarAbility to understand all facets of the project life cycle, including holding an in-depth technical understandingHave strong experience with renewables/solar/battery EPCExperience managing staff members and contractorsExperience successfully managing budgets and maintaining cost controlUnderstanding of Microsoft Suite (i.e., Microsoft Project)Highly developed written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organisational and time management skillsDemonstrated strong stakeholder management and client management experienceSound knowledge regarding Solar, BESS, Wind turbines, and high-speed EV charging systemsWHO IS OUR CLIENT AND WHAT DO THEY DO?Our client is a renewable energy multi-disciplinary Engineering, Procurement, and Construction company that services the commercial, industrial, rural, utilities, mining, and residential energy sectors.
