Currie and Brown are looking for an experienced Project Manager with specific expertise in the Education building sector to join our Sydney based team.
In this busy role, you will be working on several large scale projects within the Education sector but working across the broader team on a variety of current works.
Responsibilities will include: Working autonomously and as part of a team to deliver project tasksWorking within Currie & Brown guidelines and the project management toolkit to manage projects in accordance with contractual requirementsPlanning and delivering construction projects from concept to completionPreparing or assisting in the preparation of site assessments, due diligence reports, cost reports, project control group reports, construction reports and completion reportsManaging internal and external project stakeholders, consultants and contractorsManaging design development, co-ordination, reviews and approvals during planning and construction phasesUndertaking procurement management, including review of trade tender packagesAppointing and managing contractors while maintaining probity requirementsHandling contract administration, including evaluation of progress claims, variations, extensions of time and completing documentationMonitoring and managing completion activities including commissioning, handover, take-over and defectsPreparing project programmes and monitoring projects in line with those programmes developed by a contractor and approved by the clientMonitoring project costs in line with the approved budgetMonitoring and reporting on actual performance compared with the programmeLiaising with local authorities as required to ensure that the works are authorised as the project progressesEnsuring monitoring, reporting and compliance with occupational health and safety regulationsEnsuring that a system of quality assurance is in place to ensure the production of the highest quality of work in design, construction and administrationContinually seeking and capitalising upon opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationshipsRequirements: Degree in a construction or engineering-related discipline such as construction management, M&E/civil engineering, architecture or project managementA minimum of seven years' experience working on a range of projects in consultancy, ideally with substantial experience within the Education sector delivering building projectsExperience in commercial office fit-out essentialProficient in MS Office tools including Word, Excel and ProjectExperience in advisory services (risk management, workshop facilitation) desirableExcellent communication and client-facing skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
