The Company… This respected NSW government department is instrumental in advancing wellness initiatives across the state and is currently managing several high-impact projects.
They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the commercial, operational, and governance components of a high-profile program within the Lismore region.
The ideal candidate will bring a background in managing community-focused projects and is expected to work onsite at the East Lismore office at least 2-3 days per week.
This contract role will be until April 30, 2025.
The Job… Reporting into the Director in this Project Manager role, you will be responsible for the following duties: Lead project monitoring and reporting, developing outputs for clear updates.
Manage financial and procurement activities, coordinating with central teams.
Oversee risk management processes, ensuring compliance.
Guide a team in establishing the project governance framework, including leading key groups.
Manage systems like Smarty Grants, Salesforce, GIS, and PowerBI for both customer and internal reporting needs.
Stay informed on policy and emerging issues, providing strategic advice to leadership.
You… To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas: Minimum 3 years experience in a similar Project Manager role with a similar Community Development and/or Social Services background.
Track record of developing commercially viable solutions within the framework of NSW government guidelines and legislative frameworks will be highly favoured.
Proven ability to effectively manage conflicts arising from competing priorities and stakeholders.
A background in disaster recovery or community reconstruction will be beneficial.
Strong ability to establish and manage relationships, as well as navigate complex dependencies with internal stakeholders.
