Explore your career with McMahon Services today!We seek an exceptional Project Manager to join our Demolition business unit with a proven history of working as a Project Manager on demolition and decommissioning sites.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Demolition and Decommissioning, your main responsibilities will be to provide project leadership and contract management for allocated projects, ensuring project delivery to a high standard, on time, on budget, and in compliance with all relevant legislation.
Work Type: Full TimeCategories: Project ManagementApplications Close: OngoingKey Responsibilities:Responsible for controlling and minimising risk on projects.Work Close with Site Supervisor and Site Engineer for the programming and resourcing projectsContract managementQuality Assurance and ITPDevelopment of Site-specific management plans and methodologiesDevelopment and mentoring of Site EngineersPreparing and submitting all claims and tax invoicesCost tracking of the projectOverseeing all project procurementsPricing and negotiating all variationsResponsible for the WHSEQ on site, and where required, undertake inspections for compliance against policies and proceduresClient management and business developmentProvide monthly project report to the Divisional Manager detailing all financial, program, risk, delays, or any other major issues on the projectLiaison with Site SupervisorsAssisting supervisors where necessary on HR issuesLiaison with Divisional Administrator to ensure all admin, invoicing, financial reporting, quality, and HR monthly reporting requirements are metMeeting Monthly HSEQ Reporting requirements as requested by the WHSEQ dept.Oversee Subcontractors to ensure compliance e.g. having appropriate licenses, insurances, working under subcontractor terms of engagement.Ideal CandidatesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholdersExcellent computer proficiency, including MS Project, Word, and ExcelAble to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitudeAbility to work independently and complete assignments within parameters of instructions set and standard processExperience in contracts administration and negotiationsBachelor of civil/structural engineering or similarMinimum 5-years experience as Project Engineer or similar.How To Apply:If you believe this opportunity matches your experience and skills and you are looking to join a progressive construction company that embraces diversity and fosters its employees for long-term career progression, please click on the link below and send us your resume and all applicable supporting documents with the position referenced in the subject of the email.
