Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)
Manages and coordinates DCS/IT/Cyber Project and Product related activities and external (Customer, suppliers, sub-contractors, partners) by involving the following associated teams DCS/IT/Cyber Teams, Sales, finance, contract management, etc.Directs the project and product activities (including those relating to risks & opportunities) to reach completion of the project regarding its technical, industrial, financial, and customer satisfaction aspects.
This responsibility is exercised from signature of the contract through to the project completion period in terms of organization, time frame, workload, budget, etc.
Key Accountabilities: The Project Manager acts within the boundaries of the contract with the full authority to deliver the object of the contract to the customer and to deliver the targeted margin to Company.Will be responsible to lead the DCS/IT/Cyber Team in the successful completion of their assigned tasks within schedule, allocated budgets and scope to the required quality.Will also lead the project and cope with the unique challenge of continually focusing on a pro-active management that the functions keep their delegated budgets, meet their schedules and deliver on their obligation.Lead the team with the view of the full project including areas outside own division and the overall impact on company performance.Will also be responsible to apply the key Project Management Processes and the applicable tools for the implementation and is accountable for the strict and efficient application thereof.The Project Manager has to ensure that all DCS/IT/Cyber Team members have sufficient financial and reporting governance and to ensure all risks and opportunities are properly addressed and mitigated.Key Requirements: College or University graduate or equivalent working experience.5 years of experience as a project manager.10 years of experience in related industry SW/HW development.Product Line Management experience desirable.Strong experience in certification, approval process against customer requirements, Industry standards especially in the area of cyber security, privacy.Working experience either in Project Management, Bids, Sales, Contracts & Legal, Procurement, Engineering or Operations.Preferred Qualifications: Engineering Degree or diploma either from a Business or Technical background.PMP or IPMA certification is a plus.Rail signaling or CBTC knowledge is an asset.Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
