We're about making a difference.About the roleIn line with our recent revitalised Merchandise structure, we have an exciting new role as Merchandise Project Manager to lead the coordination and execution of major merchandising events such as Black Friday and Back to School from a merchandise and inventory perspective.In this pivotal role, you will ensure these events run seamlessly, leveraging your strong project management expertise to drive cross-functional collaboration and deliver exceptional outcomes.As the Merchandise Project Manager, you'll work closely with stakeholders across various departments to ensure alignment and successful execution of event plans.
Your proactive approach to governance, risk management, and process improvement will be crucial in navigating the complexities of these large-scale events.
Additionally, you'll play a key role in managing event-related activities within the Relex system, ensuring that all data is accurately maintained and utilized for informed decision-making.
This role will operate in a hybrid manner, from our Support Office in Chadstone, Victoria.Key Responsibilities:Project Management: Lead and coordinate major sales events like Black Friday and Back to School.
Develop project schedules, track progress, and ensure timely completion of all tasks.
Troubleshoot issues and engage stakeholders for resolution.Stakeholder Management: Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to align on roles, responsibilities, and timelines.
Resolve any concerns or conflicts efficiently.
Manage expectations and resources effectively.Risk Management: Identify potential risks early and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Integrate risk management into all phases of project planning and execution.Process Improvement: Continuously enhance project management processes for greater efficiency.
Implement governance frameworks and establish clear communication channels.Relex System Management: Oversee merchandising events within the Relex system.
Ensure data accuracy and use Relex tools to monitor performance and inform decisions.About youLeading the merchandise and inventory coordination and execution of our critical merchandising events requires established project management capabilities and a proactive approach to governance, improving processes to support dynamic, cross-functional collaboration.
Leading campaign and event management in Relex, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, it is envisaged the successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in project management or project coordination within a retail or merchandising environment.Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and tertiary qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field would be well regarded.Proven success in managing large-scale, cross-functional projects or events plus experience with merchandising systems, particularly Relex, and strong risk management skills is sought.Exceptional project management and organisational skillsStrong stakeholder engagement and communication abilitiesExpertise in risk management and process improvementProficiency in Relex or similar event management systemsAbility to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional team environmentOur cultureIt's all in a day's work when you're part of the Officeworks community – where you're not defined by who you are, but what you can do.
