About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Project Manager to join our Central Functions Line of Business based at Melbourne, reporting to the IM&T Program Manager – Cyber.

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Cyber Security Program team and help us protect those who protect Australia.
We have a long-term roadmap, full of interesting & rewarding Cyber Security projects, which enable a trusted and secure digital experience for our internal systems.
This roadmap gives plenty of variety and a sense of purpose and continuity beyond delivering standalone projects.
It includes:
Implementing industry-leading Cyber Security technologiesLife-cycling existing Cyber Security capabilitiesEnhancing our security posture to maintain evolving accreditations and meet current threatsThis is a mid-level role; we expect you are comfortable managing complicated (not necessarily complex) medium-sized projects and know your way around the IT infrastructure or cyber security domains.

Key responsibilities include: End-to-end management of projects in accordance with our Digital, Data & Cyber Security (DDC) Project Management framework, including the application of BAE Systems Australia's LCM ProcessCollaboratively develop business cases and estimate & secure commitment for project resourcingLead virtual project teams to ensure timely activity, integration and efficient use of time and resources to meet requirementsManage vendor engagement and procurement activities for project hardware, software and servicesFacilitate project steering committees and manage stakeholder relationshipsUndertake simple organisational change management activitiesEstablish appropriate key success indicators and recommend trade-offs between scope, quality, time and costActively manage project risk & opportunity, and develop strategies to mitigate or leverageManage project finances to approved budgetsDeliver project reporting in accordance with reporting calendarAbout YOU Demonstrated experience managing Information Technology projects (Infrastructure and/or Cyber Security preferred)Degree, diploma, or proprietary certification in Project Management is desirableDemonstrated experience leading virtual teams in a matrixed organization structureExcellent communication skills with the ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of different audiencesAbility to partner with and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure great project outcomesDefence security clearance or eligibility to obtainEligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulationsWe believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
