The Project Manager ensures deliverables are met, that client relationships and communication are established, and good relationships maintained.
The role includes managing project financials and schedules, maintaining records, and reporting on project status to management.
Responsibilities Of The Role Include:Maintain a high standard of communication skills verbally and where necessary in writing for customer enquiries and orders.
Email acknowledgement within 24hrs and responses within 48hrs of acknowledgement, unless otherwise agreed with the customer.Maintain an understanding of the IMS procedures in alignment with the project life cycle.Ensure that all purchases are authorised and that purchasing and accounting procedures are adhered to.Ensure that developed software code, electrical designs, and hardware selection is in accordance with the project scope, customer (or Saunders where applicable) standards and industry best practice.Inspect and test the performance of subcontractors in purchasing.Ensure that system engineers working on each project are efficient, on scope, and hours are monitored against the project budget.Ensure all project records of the department are indexed, filed, and stored in a suitable environment.Ensure the records are controlled as per the IMS requirements.Raise variations to the contract in accordance with the terms set out in the contract.Raise progress claims to the customer.Maximise the profit of the operation with due regard to safety, quality, and the Company's reputation.Prepare and present end of month forecasting and reporting.Deliver each project in line with Saunders' and the client's quality standards.Deliver each project on time, within budget.Essential Qualifications and Experience:Tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline or an electrical trade and some form of project management qualification or substantial proven experience.Minimum 5 years' experience in project delivery with Control Systems Integration.Enthusiasm for the role and commitment to continual improvement and growth of the business.Innovative thinking and approach to commercial and technical aspects of project delivery.Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills.Good organisational skills.Desirable:NER / CPENG / RPEQ / RPEV.Experience in Electrical and/or Control System Engineering.The Benefits:The opportunity to work on unique multi-disciplinary projects.Excellent work environment.Market competitive salary.Supportive culture.Cost of living discounts.Wellbeing leave days.Paid parental leave.Employee assistance program.At Saunders Automation, we pride ourselves on the quality of work and our enjoyable work environment, with the majority of work being performed in an office environment or at local sites.
