Employment Type: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Remuneration: $123K-$138K (based on experience) + 17% Super + Annual Leave Loading

The Kirby Institute is a world-leading health research institute at UNSW Sydney. We work to eliminate infectious diseases globally, developing health solutions for the most at-risk communities.
Why Your Role Matters:
The Project Manager (Contracts and Operations) leads the implementation, compliance, and reporting of cervical cancer projects within the Asia and Pacific Health Program. The role involves developing project plans and documentation, managing timelines, supporting project teams, and overseeing contract management and reporting to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop project plans and documentation.
Manage timelines and support project teams.
Oversee contract management and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
Proven project management experience, with an in-depth understanding of the project life cycle and strategic development of project plans, objectives, and documentation.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management at a senior leadership level.
A clear and confident communicator with strong people management skills. Experience managing remote teams, an advantage.
Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organisation.
Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
High level of experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Experience in Adobe Creative applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) an advantage, but not essential.
Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
Demonstrated ability to proactively undertake projects with limited direction, and the ability to manage team responsibilities and workflow effectively in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
An understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives, and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
Willingness to travel and provide direct support in-country if requested e.g. conduct short visits for training and capacity development purposes.
